Sangsoo Park is a fourth year doctoral student in the Department of Economics. He joined Ph.D. program in Economics at the University of Tennessee in 2008. Before he came to U.S., he worked at the Korea Labor Institute (KLI) with a focus on youth employment and IT workforce. His research interests continue to include demand estimation in differentiated markets and welfare effects of a new product – hybrid electric vehicle case -, as well as broader topics of industrial organization and environmental economics. Currently he is also working on the research project of costs and benefits of motor vehicle electrification with Dr. David Greene at the Howard H. Baker Center.
