Jacob LaRiviere is an assistant professor of Economics at the University of Tennessee. LaRiviere’s research focuses on governmental policy toward energy and the environment and subsequent business and consumer behavior. Of particular interest is a firm’s response to changes in ecological conditions and to changes in resource, environmental and energy policy in addition to optimal regulatory design. LaRiviere is the co-founder of the Baker Center Interdisciplinary Forum on Energy and Environmental Policy. In 2010, he received the Best Undergraduate Course Teaching award at the University of California, San Diego, and in 2011 he received the University of Tennessee’s Scholarly and Research Incentive Fund grant.
