Jens Schubert is a PhD candidate in Economics. His research interests are in environmental economics and industrial organization. He applies experimental economics and econometric techniques to assess research questions that aim to identify the impacts of market mechanisms and government regulation on the behavior of firms and individuals.  In 2012, his research on the strategic impact of forward contracts on market power received the Tami Gurley-Tavez award for best third-year paper in economics. Jens has worked as an IT consultant in the capital markets industry where he implemented trading architectures at major European investment banks.
