Jenna Lamphere will obtain her MA in environmental sociology this May. Currently, Jenna is conducting assessments of the Knoxville area’s green economy, while investigating policy efforts nationwide that have advanced green economic development. Previously, Jenna has assisted with research on meta-ethnography on new immigrant destinations, alternative agricultural techniques, and has assisted with a multi-county survey for the River Valley Methamphetamine Project. She has served as a moderator for the Sociology Department and the Study for the Center of Social Justice Conference, and she has been a presenter for International Association for Society and Natural Resources, Southern Sociological Society, and several of SGSA’s Film Series events. Her research interests include biotechnology, ecofeminism, and environmental justice. Jenna is a member of the Society for the Study of Social Problems, International Association for Society and Natural Resources, and Southern Sociological Society. She also serves as the faculty liaison for the Sociology Graduate Student Association (SGSA).
