Benjamin Stanley Rosenthal was a democratic representative to the eighty-seventh U.S. Congress. He was born in New York City on June 8, 1923. Rosenthal earned his law degree from New York University. In 1962 he was elected by special election to the U.S. Congress to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of United States Representative Lester Holtzman. Rosenthal was re-elected to Congress seven times. He served from January 20, 1962 until his death on January 4, 1993.
