Support the Howard Baker Center
The Howard Baker Center for Public Policy will be built entirely through private funding. Likewise, much of our public programming, educational initiatives and research efforts will depend on public support. The programming aspect of the Center started in early 2003, with program offerings focused on the Center's mission of creating a better understanding of our government and public policy issues and promoting a greater appreciation of the importance of public service. Though activities have been underway for over a year based on these goals, a dedicated facility is required for the Center to truly fulfill its potential and accomplish its mission.
Donors may choose to help fund the building of the facility itself or choose to support program initiatives. Anyone interested in establishing an endowment for a specific purpose should call the Center to make the appropriate arrangements. Otherwise, gifts can simply be designated either for the Program Fund or the Building Fund . Any questions can be directed to the staff at the Baker Center.
Baker Center Associates - Supporters who make annual gifts to the Center at one of the levels listed below are eligible for membership in the Baker Center Associates. Associates will receive reserved seating at programs and invitations to special events. The most rewarding benefit, however, will be the opportunity to honor the legacy of a great American. The levels of membership in the Baker Center Associates are:
- Senate Leaders - An annual gift of $1000 or a one-time gift of $10,000
- Ambassador's Circle - An annual gift of $500-$999
- Baker Friends - An annual gift of $200-$499
Both husband and wife will receive membership status for gifts at each level, and donors will also receive recognition in the appropriate University of Tennessee gift club or society.
