The Howard H. Baker, Jr. Museum provides a unique glimpse into the public policy process. The museum follows the life of Senator Howard H. Baker, Jr. through all three major branches of government.
In doing so, the museum covers a wide range of materials and topics applicable to both students and adults. These topic areas include, but are not limited to:
1) An overview of the legislative, judicial, and executive branches of government, as well as a look at media impacts on public policy
2) Senator Baker’s interest in photography, as it relates to politics
3) Biographies of significant political figures throughout Tennessee’s history
4) Interactive stations covering modern issues such as Watergate, the Environment, The Iran Contra Affair, and the Panama Canal
