Student Initiatives

Staff Contact: Nissa Dahlin-Brown, Gavin Luter

As a part of the UT Knoxville community, the Baker Center works to develop and maintain relationships with UT students with interests in public policy. To this end, the Center has developed several programs in which interested students can involve themselves. The primary student group associated with the Baker Center are the Baker Scholars, students who have demonstrated superior academic performance and an interest in public policy. Baker Scholars assist the center with it's many initiatives, and each also participates in an ongoing project of their own choosing. Other initiatives include the Baker Center Learning Community, the Writer's Roundtable and the Baker Journal of Applied Public Policy.
